Confederate Fishing Derby & BBQ, Junction City Oregon!

Greetings Compatriots and Friends,

  The newly formed SCV Rev. Philip Mulkey Camp 2273 of Eugene, Oregon, is putting on a Confederate Fishing Derby and BBQ on Saturday May 21st, 2016. This will be a wonderful day of family fun and good times with fellow SCV members and friends.

Days Schedule:

 

-11:00am – SCV Camp 2273 Adopt-A-Highway cleanup.

-12:00 to 3:00pm – Fishing Derby and BBQ

SCV Camp 2244 recruiting event success!

SCV Camp 2244 of Nampa, Idaho, held a recruiting event at the Eagle Island War Between the States Reenactment on April 30th, 2016. They passed out numerous applications to join and were exceptionally well received by visitors and reenactors. There were a few people who will definitely be joining their Camp. This was the Camp’s first significant recruiting event. They are planning on being in a local parade this spring.

Southern Poverty Law Center is directing their hatered at the SCV.

The Southern Poverty Law Center aka SPLC, is taking their quest to eradicate all things Confederate to a whole new level. They are currently organizing rallies, workshops and legal battles against anything Confederate related. It is exceptionally obvious that they are directly attacking what we stand for as members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

They have come up with a comprehensive game plan to take on our members. This plan includes talking points and responses to our usual answers regarding Confederate history and heritage.
