Jefferson Davis Park Vandalized. We need your help!

Jefferson Davis Park was vandalized on Thursday night (August 17th). The cowardly individuals threw bags of tar and paint on both of the historic Jefferson Davis Park highway markers, the interpretive plaque, memorial bricks and the crushed marble walkway. Costs are going to be very high to repair the damage.

Jefferson Davis Park was established in 2007, and is owned and operated by Sons of Confederate Veterans Col. Isaac W. Smith Camp 458 of Portland, Oregon. We are a 501c3 non-profit Veterans organization, that was established in 1896. Our purpose is to honor and defend the Confederate Soldier’s good name, guard his history, and to make sure that the true history of the South is presented to future generations.

All donations are Tax deductible, and will be used for repairing the damage, installing a 24hr surveillance system and lighting. Any extra funding received will be used for park maintenance and improvements.

Donations can be sent to:

SCV Camp 458
P.O. Box 222
Condon, OR. 97823-0222

Thank you,
Sons of Confederate Veterans
Col. Isaac W. Smith Camp 458

      Hello Brian,

Thank you for contacting us. Please fill out a membership application http://www.scv.org/new/forms-and-documents/membership-application/, and send a copy of your genealogy showing your connection to a Confederate soldier who served honorably in the Confederate military. Once you have completed that, send those two things and a check for $65 to:

      SCV Pacific NW Division
      PO Box 222
      Condon, OR. 97823-0222.
